Shentonista has always been free for all to access, and we’d love to keep it that way. We founded Shentonista in 2011, starting out in the heyday of Blogger and Tumblr as Singapore’s very own streetstyle blog.What began as a challenge — to find out, once and for all, whether Singaporeans truly have a sense of style — has evolved into a project that has spanned over a decade, documenting our human landscape as it morphs, adapts, and cycles over time. While we’ve partnered with some great clients and brands throughout the years, we continue to trawl the streets each month to photograph and interview all the people you see on the site here. That portion of Shentonista is driven only by our own time, effort, and passion, and is something that we’re most keen on keeping alive — so that in 20 or 50 years’ time, we can all look back on not just what Singaporeans were wearing, but what they worried about, what made them laugh, what songs they were grooving to, what they were looking forward to eating next.
