We caught Caryn on her way to the money changer, the day she was due to leave to Korea for a week-long holiday — it’s no wonder that she’s in high-spirits. “I’m finally on leave!” she says, which also explains her off-day outfit. In person, Caryn is chatty, bubbly, and extremely easy to talk to; she definitely stands out from the crowd in this look, which reflects her approachable personality. “My style is a bit eclectic, and I dress how I feel like dressing,” she says. She mixes a soft pleated skirt with more masculine elements, such as her fuss-free bag, and brogues with just a bit of hardware. Caryn has been working in banking for about four years, although she says if she could, she’d love to be a fashion buyer. “Some days I wake up and wonder if I should doing something creative,” she says. “I love roaming around and shopping, so being a fashion buyer would be awesome.” Besides fashion, Caryn loves cats, and calls herself a “crazy cat lady”, and owns 2 ½ cats. Half a cat? “It’s not really our cat,” she laughs. “It just comes around and hangs out.”
