Effervescent and approachable, Ling was a joy to photograph. She embodies a distinct style while still managing to maintain a certain code of conduct. The jade pendent she has around her neck also comes as a pleasant surprise for its incongruence with the rest of the outfit. A family heirloom of sorts, she tells us it is a combination of her grandmother’s jade and diamonds from her mum’s engagement ring. Endearing.
