Tell us more about where you’re from!
I’m from Hong Kong, but I’ve been based in Singapore for almost three years. I definitely like the vibe and culture of Singapore—I think Hong Kong is a bit similar in this sense, but not much.
What was it that brought you to Singapore?
I majored in financial management, so I came to work in the Big 4 firms. But because of a lack of interest, I left the industry, and now I work in art consultancy and model on the side as well.
Do you go back to Hong Kong very often?
Yes, almost 10 times per year (laughs). A lot! My whole family is in Hong Kong, and I always miss the food there, so I try to go back as much as I can.
Have you found any good cha chaan tengs (Hong Kong-style diners) here?
Hmm… not yet actually (laughs).
How has it been adjusting to life in Singapore? Are you living alone or with roommates?
I live with my boyfriend! We’re both from China, and he’s working here too, so it’s nice to have someone familiar close to me.
