I’m from Myanmar, and I’m working in Singapore as a chef!
Cool! How long have you been working as a chef?
I’ve been working here in Singapore for about two years, at a Burmese restaurant at Peninsula.
What do you like to do when you’re not working?
I love drinking coffee from Starbucks (laughs). Even on my off days, I still like to come back to the Peninsula area to hang out.
What’s your go-to coffee order?
Americano.
What do you enjoy most about being a chef?
I like that I get to make my traditional food, and I enjoy cooking in general.
Having been in Singapore for a couple of years, do you miss your hometown?
Yes, of course. I always miss and think about Myanmar.
