Sunny Side Up

WEARING

What are you reading at the moment?

I’m reading a book about the partisan war in India. It’s very sad, but I like that the author manages to inject some wit and humour into the writing.

Having lived in Singapore for about a year, what do you miss most about France, where you’re from?

I don’t actually miss France that much—I love Singapore and the warm weather, but I do miss the food back home, especially the bread.

Do you have any comfort foods here?

I’d say Korean BBQ; it’s not really a local food, but as someone who’s moved to Singapore from Europe, I consider it a Singaporean dish.

What’s your favourite French word or expression?

‘ça va’—it means ‘what’s up’, or ‘how are you’. I use it all the time, even with friends who don’t speak French. (laughs)

What’s a food that describes you?

Pizza—you can pick any toppings you want and it usually works, and I’m quite easygoing as a person.
